it plays music on previews and such and music
but when the movie plays and the charecters start talking
you cant really hear what they are saying
but everthing else works like the music in the background
how can i fix it

I am only getting sound sound out of my front left and front right speakers when I play my iPod and DVD’s. I have wired the other speakers correctly which include the subwoofer, center speaker, and the right and left rear speakers. I was wondering how I could get those working? Are they broken?

It’s a RCA…..DVD Home Theater System, model RTD258. It was plugged in when the power failed and later came back on, all while I was at work……none of my other electrical appliances were affected.
